How We Review: What This Site Checks
Most casino guides describe operators without ever saying how they decided. This page is the alternative: the checks, in order, and the point at which they stop working. 39JL is an independent guide — not a casino, no deposits accepted, no balances held, no games run — and nothing here is scored, rated or ranked.
The criteria
- Licence disclosure. Is the operating company named where an ordinary reader will find it, and does the name appear in the regulator's own published records?
- KYC rules. Is identity verification explained before you deposit — documents named, timing stated — or discovered during a first withdrawal?
- Terms clarity. Can a first-time reader locate withdrawal conditions, bonus wagering rules and the dormancy clause without a search box?
- Payment rails. Which methods exist, and does the site keep rail behaviour and its own approval queue separate instead of merging them into a single promise?
- Complaint route. Is there an escalation path beyond live chat, and is the regulator's channel acknowledged anywhere?
- Responsible-gaming tools. Are deposit limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion genuinely in the account area, not merely described in a footer?
- Support channels. How many, what hours, and does any of them leave you a written record you can escalate with?
- App distribution. Does the site describe store availability honestly, or push an installer from a domain it does not control?
Each of these is answerable by reading published material. None requires an account, which matters, because this site holds none anywhere.
What can and cannot be verified
| Verifiable from outside | Not verifiable from outside |
|---|---|
| That a company name and licence reference are published, and whether they match the regulator's list | Whether that company will pay you, at your amount, this week |
| That terms, privacy, complaints and responsible-gaming pages exist and what they commit to | Whether a support agent is competent on the day you write in |
| Where a site contradicts its own pages | What is happening inside its approval queue |
| Which payment brands appear, and how those rails behave as public fact | Payout times, fees and minimums — set by the operator, so check its cashier page |
| Whether a published RTP matches the studio's own figure | Which configuration of a game a lobby is actually running |
Where a figure cannot be sourced it is omitted. A blank describes our confidence honestly. A plausible estimate would describe something else.
Claims you will not find here
- That we tested a withdrawal anywhere — we hold no accounts
- A fee, minimum or payout time for an operator we cannot query
- A licence number we have not seen in the regulator's own records
- A rating, a star count or a ranking position
- An author name, biography or photograph that does not belong to a real person
- A max win, bonus value or player count we cannot source
Money, and what it does not buy
Some outbound links may be partner links that earn a commission when clicked. The arrangement does not change with what a page says. No operator sees a draft, no wording is softened on request, and no page is removed because a company objected to it. If that were ever the condition, the page would remain and the arrangement would not.
The absence of a score is part of the same decision. A ranking table is the most saleable asset a site in this market could build, so this one does not have one to sell.
Dates, authorship and corrections
Pages carry a published and a modified date and are credited to the site rather than a person. We do not create reviewer identities, qualifications or photographs — an invented expert would be the least verifiable thing on an otherwise careful page. Corrections are made in the page itself with the date updated, and being shown an error is more useful to us than defending one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why no ratings?
A score looks objective while concealing the judgement that produced it, and a ranking position is the easiest thing in this industry to sell. Publishing the checks keeps the reasoning visible and leaves the conclusion with you.
Are the links on this site paid?
Some outbound links may be partner links that earn a commission on a click. That has no effect on the wording, and no advertiser previews a page before publication.
Will you tell me how fast an operator pays?
No, because we cannot know. Approval times, fees and minimums are set by the operator — check its cashier page and get support's answer in writing. What is independently true is rail behaviour: InstaPay is real-time within a per-transaction cap; PESONet settles in batches on banking days.
Do you check licences yourself?
We compare the operating company name a site publishes against the regulator's own published records, and we explain how to repeat the check. We cannot audit a regulator's files or confirm a licence's internal standing.
Who writes these pages?
The site, under its own name. There is no author persona, because a persona we invented could not be verified by you — and an absent byline is more honest than a fictional one.
